Wow.  Another wonderful year for Michelle Nicole Photography!

Thank you so much to all my clients, friends, family, and fans who have continued to support me throughout the years.  It has been almost six years for MNP, and I cannot thank you enough!

2015 has been filled with a lot of little firsts!!  I continued shooting weddings as usual but began exploring portrait sessions of all kinds.  I traveled twice to Boston, and a handful of times to my second home, Los Angeles.  I was awarded my second International Accolade of Excellence award from WPPI (the Wedding Photography Association) and one of my images was a runner up for the cover of a Nails magazine. I was also featured on SLR Lounge where I shared my experience of taking the plunge from the corporate world into doing photography full time.   This past year I’ve been a founding member of Studio 5, a collective wedding studio that I currently share with other local business owners Pili Lani Events, Passiflora Designs, Branch out Floral and Event Design, and United DJs.  I continued to work with Shear Fashion Salon as we’re planning to enter in the NAHA North American Hairstyling Awards competitions, as well as photographing nails!

The most precious thing I enjoyed this past year is taking photos of newborns and infants. I’ve fallen in love these portrait sessions!  I have done many newborn sessions this year and also a handful of cake smash sessions!  I really enjoy doing cake smash sessions, which are a trend for babies when they turn one year old. The photos are used for their first birthday invitations, parties, and to remember their one year old milestone.  I’m very thankful for all the parents that have trusted me to capture their miracles, and I look forward to capturing many more of these in 2016.
