The Chairman | San Francisco Food Truck Photographer

When I think about people pursuing their dreams, the two San Francisco Bay Area owners of The Chairman, Kevin and Curtis did just that.  I met Kevin 8+ years ago when he was working for a retail store.  He was just hustling away selling in the camera division, and then moved onto another retail store selling cell phones and other misc goods.  I kept in touch with Kevin because… I always contacted him about my phone.  I guess it was a good way to keep in touch, but probably not so much for Kevin.  Since, he packed his things up and with his roommate Curtis, became The Chairman of the Chairman Bao Truck, and life hasn’t slowed down since.

The Chairman currently resides in San Francisco.  Their “secret recipes are from the Little Red Cookbook”, inspired by “the original street food of Asia – bold, spicy, unique, fast, and delicious”.  There are two trucks, and they travel to places such as the Mission, Haight, Octavia/Linden, Burlingame, San Mateo, San Jose, Redwood Shores, Palo Alto, Union City, San Ramon, Brisbane, and their home, Off the Grid in San Francisco at Fort Mason… and MANY MORE.  I can’t keep up with them and where they’re going, but avid Chairman followers know where they are 24/7.  They have been voted and published in all sorts of works, such as Maxim, 7×7, SF Weekly, and more.

To this day, Kevin and Curtis are slaving away to bring to you awesome steamed and baked buns for all their amazing fans.  They definitely wouldn’t be here without you enjoying their food.

Here they are, at City Hall.  The Chairman was here on an especially busy day (February 24, to be exact) – “America’s Got Talent” had live auditions that day at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.  Additionally, the news crew from CBS Channel 5 interviewed the food trucks located there that day.  Enjoy!  Here’s a few hours in the life of The Chairman Truck in San Francisco!!

Here’s a few baked & steamed buns from their menu:
