For almost the entire month of July, I spent my time here in sunny Southern California.  During my time here, I was introduced to a really sweet, warm hearted couple – Alisa and Jason, and their cute corgi, Bandit.  Alisa and her husband Jason are really great people; Alisa, a teacher, and Jason, a mechanic, chose this location Sycamore Canyon Park because not only does Bandit love the park, Alisa has many fond childhood memories playing at this park as well.  It has a nice play area, along with a trail for people to exercise.

While we were walking, taking photos, and getting to know each other, Alisa shared with me she attempted to make a calendar filled with photos of Bandit.  Knowing that she wanted more photos of Bandit, I held his bag of treats, learned the key words that helped get Bandit’s attention, and watched this cute little corgi sit, lay down, etc.  It was cute!

Since I shoot a lot of weddings and always ask for the bride and grooms’ advice to future clients, I asked Alisa & Jason, since they’ve been married for some time, what they do to keep their marriage going.  Alisa shared with me that she keeps a jar for date nights.  This jar is filled with sticks, and on the end of these sticks have a piece of paper that include an idea written on it for their date night (or day), such as a trip to Disneyland, and different restaurant names.  When they run out of ideas of what to do, they go to this jar and pull a stick out and do whatever is written on the end of the stick they just pulled out.  Cute.

So here’s Alisa + Jason!  Alisa and Jason (and Bandit), it was really wonderful getting to know you both and I look forward to seeing you more often!!
